Edmonton Islamic Academy Elementary School Project

Campaign Story Designer Community Narrator Lead Strategist

Overview

The Edmonton Islamic Academy (EIA) is Western Canada’s largest Islamic school and a cornerstone of
educational excellence for thousands of families. As the school prepared to embark on a landmark expansion,
a new elementary campus designed to serve over 1,700 students, it needed a compelling fundraising
narrative and visual identity that could inspire confidence, build community momentum, and communicate
the generational impact of this project.

ELMA supported the development of EIA’s fundraising story, campaign visuals, and event communications,
ensuring that every public touchpoint reflected purpose, clarity, and aspiration.

Summary

Public-facing fundraising materials, campaign graphics, launch event content, and narrative framing were
developed to communicate why the new campus matters, not just as a building, but as a legacy for future
generations. ELMA designed donor-facing messaging, and supported public launch events through
storytelling, branded materials, and community engagement strategy.

Strategy Snapshot

This project required crafting a narrative that could unite donors, families, and community members behind a
shared vision. The strategy focused on:

  • Humanizing the project by centering students, families, and teachers.
  • Designing campaign visuals that felt modern, aspirational, and deeply rooted in culture.
  • Developing key messages that connected education, identity, and legacy.
  • Supporting major fundraising events with coordinated storytelling and visual cohesion.
  • Enhancing donor confidence through consistent, polished, and impactful communications.
  • Strengthening community buy-in by framing the school not just as infrastructure, but as an investment in
    future generations.

At the heart of the strategy:

People give when they are inspired. When the story is clear, the support follows.
